1. PRAY FOR US

First and foremost, we solicite your intercessions and prayers on behalf of this city and for the people who God has sent us here to reach. We seek wisdom and direction for each and every day as to where to evangelize and who to reach out to.

We are constantly seeking opportunity to speak with people about the Gospel and to teach a Home Bible Study, so please be praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador . . . : that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:18-20)

2. TELL US ABOUT PEOPLE YOU KNOW

We have quickly learned that people from across the nation have friends and relatives that live in Concord. If you think that any of the individuals you know may have a remote interest in the United Pentecostals or for a Home Bible Study, please send us their information. We will gladly and graciously contact them.

3. MAKE A DONATION

We have many projects and needs that come up on a regular basis that would be a great opportunity for you to support this ministry. Several of these projects include sound equipment and software; signs and advertising; printing and literature; websites and internet marketing; and building project funds and special services.

4. BECOME A MONTHLY PARTNER AND CONTRIBUTOR

One great way you could support this ministry would be through regular monthly contributions. Please prayerfully consider the ways in which you may be able partner with us to support this ministry. Through your prayers, contacts, and financial support, you can be a formidible force for growth and revival in Concord, North Carolina.

If you would like to make a donation, you can either give online or send a check to: United Pentecostals, PO Box 7017, Concord, NC 28027.Meet Our Pastor >>

WORLD MISSIONS - World Missions

Jesus sums up the mission of the church in His final remarks to the Disciples. This command is so poignant, simple and direct that it is known as the Great Commission:"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)This is the singular most important purpose of the New Testament Church. It is the purpose for the start of the United Pentecostals in Concord, and it is the purpose for our support of missionaries around the world. We are a part of - and proponents of - a purpose that is greater than ourselves. It is indeed a Great Commission! The significance of our Commission is so profound, that Jesus tied the fulfillment of it to the end - His imminent return to the earth."And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Matthew 24:14)This is the basis of a great promise for us, and the foundation of a huge responsibility for us to engage in personal evangelism, build churches domestically and around the world, and to support Missionaries who preach the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.Learn more about our Foreign Missionaries >>

Life Change!

Something's happening in Concord. It's new and exciting. It's Powerful.

And once you experience it you'll never be the same.

There's a new church in town that will change the way you think about Sunday Morning. Better yet, it can change the way you think about Life - and give you the power to live it more abundantly. The Newest Chapter In A Powerful, Worldwide History

Our roots run deep. As part of the United Pentecostal Church International, we belong to the largest, fastest growing body of Oneness Pentecostal believers in the world. And we can trace our heritage all the way back to Azuza Street, where the outpouring of the Holy Ghost in 1901 changed modern church history.

More importantly, our true beginning goes back to the Day of Pentecost, when God poured out His Spirit for the very first time - and changed the history of the world.

Now, we believe exciting things are in store right here in Concord, as God continues to pour out His Spirit - and change history one life at a time. What Part Will You Play?

Wherever you are in your walk with God - even if your life is in desperate crisis - Jesus wants to leave His mark on you. He wants to lift you up and give you a life full of joy and victory.

Years from now, when the history of this new church is written, what part will you have played? Will your life have been transformed by it? Will you have helped make it what it is to become?

You are invited to come and build your legacy with us!Learn more about What We Believe >>

THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR FAITH - What We Believe

THE BIBLE -- Everyone needs a benchmark. An anchor. A foundation on which to build our lives. Ours is the Bible. We believe it is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God, and we rely on it for guidance and instruction. For clarity in an ambiguous world. It is the compass by which we navigate the treacherous waters of life.

GOD -- We believe in an awesome, powerful, and Holy God! The Creator of the universe. The sustainer of all life. Omnipotent, Omnipresent -- yet so concerned with you and I that He Himself became one of us. He Himself suffered and died for us, so that we could be saved. This is love like no other!

SALVATION -- is a whole new life. There just is no experience like the one Jesus called the New Birth (John 3:3-5), and Peter preached about on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:38). When by faith, you repent of your sins, and those sins are washed away during baptism in the Name of Jesus, God has promised to fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is the greatest gift you can ever receive!

HOLINESS -- We're so thankful for what Jesus has done for us! So, we want to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him. We stay close to Him through prayer and Bible Study, which helps us to become more like Him on the inside. We also try to live by the higher standards of the Bible on the outside -- in what we do, see and wear. The result is a cleaner, richer life we wouldn't trade for the world!Learn more about our Mission & Vision >>

Kirby and Mary Parker were pastoring the United Pentecostal Church in Gridley, California, when they received their September 2000 appointment to Malta. Brother Parker stated, "In following God's calling, we felt a burden for the island nation of Malta. It is the crossroads of the Mediterranean with a melting pot of languages, religions, and races . . . . Since returning from the World Conference in Athens in 1995, we have immersed ourselves in Middle Eastern studies of countries and cultures." Their place of labor is just a couple of miles from where the Apostle Paul was ship-wrecked during one of his missionary journeys.

Reverend and Mrs. Robinette have served as missionaries around the world, and now, their calling and appointment are leading them to Austria. During their time of travel to raise funding and support, the Robinettes have helped pray with thousands of people who have received the Holy Ghost and hundreds who have been baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The fruitfulness in their preparation to launch into this field of labor is a tremendous indication of the possibilities of what God will do through them in Austria.

ABOUT PASTOR FILLMER - Meet our Pastor

While he's originally from Modesto, California, Rev. Michael Fillmer first fell in love with the town of Concord while living in Fayetteville.

Originally coming to North Carolina courtesy of the Military, Pastor Fillmer found a home at the First United Pentecostal Church of Fayetteville, where he eventually served for seven years as Assistant Pastor.

It was also there that he found the other great Love of his life, his wife Kelly. Together with their son, Michael Austin, they visited the Charlotte area over the course of several years, always feeling a yearning to be part of this beautiful community.

When he discovered that a part of Concord had no United Pentecostal Church, something clicked in his heart. An overwhelming desire to bring the excitement and life-changing power of Pentecost to this community was born.

Pastor and Sister Fillmer, along with Michael Austin, feel that Concord is home. And they can't wait to meet their new neighbors and introduce them to the church that has so richly blessed their lives.

God is already doing great things here in Concord! We hope you'll come and be a part of what He has in store. We invite you to Build a Better Life, and help make this new church all that He wants it to be.

If you'd like to find out more about what God has in store for you, Click Here to learn about our exciting Home Bible Studies.

Or, if you'd like to contact Pastor Fillmer, you can reach him by email.

We look forward to hearing from you!

PRAYER CLOTHS - AN ACT OF FAITH - Prayer Cloths

"So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them."
 Acts 19:12

When the lady with an issue of blood pressed through the crowd, her objective was to simply touch the hem of Jesus' garment.

When Peter walked through the streets of Jerusalem, people brought their sick so that his shadow would pass over them so that they would be healed.

When Paul distributed aprons he had been in contact with, people carried them to their sick and spiritually infirmed to bring healing.

In every instance, their efforts were effective. What they did worked. And prayers were answered.

Yet the effectiveness was not in a garment's hem, a person's shadow, or a workman's apron. The effectiveness was in their simple and desperate act of faith. The hem, shadow, and apron were merely tokens of their faith, but they worked.

We believe in the effectiveness of what the early Christians did. When they took an apron, or thin piece of cloth, anointed it in prayer, and distributed them to those in need, people were healed, evil spirits were cast out, and prayers were answered.

If you have received an anointed prayer cloth, have confidence that the prayers prayed over it are still at work. But don't put your trust in the cloth, rather put it in the God who answers those prayers.

If you have not received a prayer cloth, but know someone else who is in need, we would be glad to send one either to you and/or them. Simply request a prayer cloth by sending us an email with the name, need, and mailing address. We will put you on our prayer list and send a prayer cloth as soon as possible.
